Select International College Visits EAVA FM

Venus Sehgal Manager for Select International College Visited Deedar and the mid morning show 13th February at EAVA FM's studio to talk about the college.

Venus is originally from Jalandhar in Punjab, India but has lived in England for the last 8 years. She regularly visits Jalandhar, which she says is very modern now.

Select International College is a college that offers courses for students who are from abroad and want to study in the UK. One of the courses that the college offers is English Language and that ranges from basic to the more advanced. The college also offers a range of other courses such as Business Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality.

If you want to apply for a place at Select International College they will send you a CAS form which you will have to fill in and send back with your certificates of education and work experience qualifications. You will then have to apply to you local native embassy for a student visa.

Another requirement needed by many British Universities and Colleges are that you will need a prescribed IELTS score, as a qualification. IELTS stand for International English Language Testing System it is a comprehensive test of English language proficiency designed to assess the ability of non-native speakers. The score is worked out as a band score and each module is graded separately then added together. The band scores range from 1 being a non user and 9 being and expert user, higher education will ask for an overall score of 5.5.

People from certain countries are required to obtain and Entry Clearance Certificate from their local British High Commission before travelling.
